glenerrolrd Posted April 29, 2007 Share #2 Posted April 29, 2007 I need +3 correction, and everybody is out. Can the older correction lenses from M series (eg M6) be used? Thanks there is one on ebay for $50 ..just search on leica eyepiece..just a heads up .. a lot of people have had trouble getting the right one..the disconnect is that the focus patch is set at 2 meters .. and the viewfinder starts at -0.5...so you need to know what diopter do you need to see something sharp at 6-7 ft ..any of the M diopters work on the M8....lots of bad information out there on how to find the right diopter...PM me if you have specifics.. I have worked on this a lot.
Shootist Posted April 29, 2007 Share #3 Posted April 29, 2007 Poster above is completely correct, there is a lot of misinformation out there on what diopter is needed. ANY and ALL diopter lenses, that is for the M series camera, will work on ANY M model. I have a +1 on both my M8 and M3 and they are interchangeable.
