Advertisement Posted July 27, 2006 Posted July 27, 2006 Hi nealf, Take a look here Diane "OK, take another shot". I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
ddh Posted July 28, 2006 Share #2 Posted July 28, 2006 Neil, I seldom react this way to a photo. To me, this is an amazing portrait of a quite beautiful human being. Looking at it, I felt warmth, kindness and a bit of a sence of humour. She must be an understanding and compassionate lady. Lucky man, thanks for sharing. nealf Posted July 28, 2006 Author Share #3 Posted July 28, 2006 Thank you for your comments, and yes she is a very understanding woman with a great sence on humour, to stay with, and put up with me for the last 30+ years she has to be both. And she has gotten used to me sticking a camera in her face all the time.
christoph_d Posted July 28, 2006 Share #4 Posted July 28, 2006 Hello Neil, I like the photo, for the same reasons that Daniel explained. It shows that an "everyday"shot can be a really nice photo if, like you do here, the right moment is captured. And she has just the right amount of "light" in her eyes. If I may offer a point for improvement, I would suggest that, with a distracting background like here, either a more open aperture, or perhaps the use of a longer focal length could focus the viewers eye even more on her. Kind regards, C.
FinnPirat Posted July 28, 2006 Share #5 Posted July 28, 2006 this is a great picture! I love it. I also own a D2... but I have to exercise myself in getting such pictures. more of this! K@y
nealf Posted July 28, 2006 Author Share #6 Posted July 28, 2006 K@y, I use the D2 very rarely since I got my Olympus e-330. Both cameras are about the same size, but the Olympus produces a better image and is more versatile. Neal F
