Just sold my M9P and bought a Monochrom.

To my knowledge together with the MM comes a ticket for free prints. This is at least what I read in all the websites. However I can't find any ticket in the box.

A shame as I was really looking forward printing some images.

Does leica still provide this service to MM buyers?

Does anyone know the name of the printing company?

The company is Whitewall (www.us.whitewall.com)

The special service with reduced pricing no longer exists.

But I would nevertheless recommend using WW for their silver gelatin digital prints using their lightjet printer and Ilford baryta paper. The results are top notch.

Be prepared to wait 10-14 days before receiving an email advising of shipment as they batch their orders for processing on their expensive papers.

One issue that I do have with them is that they offer no personalized service. It's basically all automated. So all the noise reduction and (most importantly) sharpening is on you to get right. Sharpening is really key on the baryta paper given the process involved and I feel that a little extra sharpening is required in many cases. And there is no real science and is has much to do with experience and trial and error.

I will say, thought, that WW has very good customer serivce and they will be happy for you to email them your photo in advance of ordering a print and consult witht hem regarding whether you level of NR and sharpening is adequate. They can't guarantee results and will say that this is all a subjective matter of taste. But they are a good sounding board for identifying when you've oversharpened an image beyond reasonable parameters.

Why not make your own?

Because living in Amsterdam center I don't have enough space at home to store a proper A3 printer :)

I have an old A4 canon printer at my parents house but its terrible with black and white giving a green look to the image.
