I've just donated my C35 kit to the charity shop I work in. I've now bought an LPL c6700 for a fantastically low price (look for Rainham Cameras on E-Bay).

The difference in power is incredible: it means I can print with more accuracy and efficiency, and spend much less time in the darkroom. I'm also able to devise my own "rule of thumb" working methods which, so far, are proving reliable.

I've just displayed my first batch of photos in a small gallery room at a mental health centre, with some good feedback, and am currently working on a project with horses.

Recently, I also found a 135mm f/4 lens for under £300 and an M4 for under £800 (I part exchanged the Bessa R2 and a clunky, heavy version of the 28mm f/2.8 lens). Both were in excellent condition.

Talk about luck!
