Iduna Posted May 9, 2014 Share #2 Posted May 9, 2014 wow, great in its subtle simplicity. This could be fine as a botanical illustration for a book being almost a drwaing with toning an fine details.
pauledell Posted May 9, 2014 Share #3 Posted May 9, 2014 An excellent shot that has great composition, tones, lighting and sharpness. Even with film, this could compete with LF work. Paul
andkeen Posted May 10, 2014 Author Share #4 Posted May 10, 2014 Thank you very much Iduna and Paul for your comments, I really appreciate them. Regarding the use of film, I just got the SL to use with the Elmarit R macro as an alternative to the a7r and love it! Best regards Andrew
euston Posted May 10, 2014 Share #5 Posted May 10, 2014 I like this very much. It reminds me of the photography of Charles Jones (1866-1959), one of my photographic heroes. He was an estate gardener who photographed the fruits of his labours in a straightforward but most effective manner. This illustrated article provides an introduction to his life and work: Charles Jones, Gardener & Photographer | Spitalfields Life
