sblitz Posted May 6, 2014 Share #1 Posted May 6, 2014 Advertisement (gone after registration) Not available commercially in the US, saw it advertised by LFI in an email selling all sorts of stuff. Wondering if anyone has used this in its latest version? Comparisons to other 100 ISO BW films such as Ilford Delta, Kodak T-Max, Kentmere (Ilford brand from what I have read), Neopan, etc? Advertisement Posted May 6, 2014 Posted May 6, 2014 Hi sblitz, Take a look here ADOX CHS 100 II. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
sblitz Posted May 16, 2014 Author Share #2 Posted May 16, 2014 Well I tried it and love it, examples posted in photo forum / people for those who want a look. Not sure why it isn't yet being sold in the US but not a big hassle to buy it online in Germany.

sblitz Posted May 16, 2014 Author Share #4 Posted May 16, 2014 Thanks! These guys seem to be a bit earlier than Adorama and B & H is getting newer films. I noticed that B&H now carries the cinefilm which previous was only available from Freestyle -- neither carry Adox. So now I can support a US firm, price looks close to the same as in Germany at current euro rates.

xalo Posted May 16, 2014 Share #6 Posted May 16, 2014 Tried a roll or two last December/January and found it quite nice. I did give it to a lab, though; think they use xtol. The below is from a lab scan, fwiw. I slightly increased the contrast of the mediums and lightly sharpened. I like the rendering (the building is brick red and eggshell white, sky was blue). christoph_d Posted May 19, 2014 Share #7 Posted May 19, 2014 Advertisement (gone after registration) Tried Adox 100 II earlier this year, and find it rather nice. I prefer it to The Silvermax film though they are rather similar in my experience. The new version has probably not quite as much "character" as the old version, which is a good thing in some ways (I had a plethora of white spots on some charges of the old version, none on the new one). Fomapan 100 may be an alternative for a darker, rougher look, at least the way I treat them. I am still inwardly weeping for the Adox 50 ... Rgds C.
