John McMaster Posted May 2, 2014 Share #1 Posted May 2, 2014 Advertisement (gone after registration) I have just bought a used one with hand strap but cannot see how both the neck strap and hand strap can be attached at the same time - is it possible? john
Advertisement Posted May 2, 2014 Posted May 2, 2014 Hi John McMaster, Take a look here S2 multi-function grip . I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
John McMaster Posted May 3, 2014 Author Share #2 Posted May 3, 2014 OK, I have threaded the hand grip through the loop then put a key ring (spiral type) onto there before closing the grip. The neckstrap now goes through the keyring, will see how it goes.... john
darylgo Posted May 4, 2014 Share #3 Posted May 4, 2014 Hi John, I have a Hasselblad (gasp) wrist strap on the body, it is attached to the right strap lug and a arca swiss plate with a strap lug on the right side. My carrying strap is on the left strap lug and the left arca swiss plate lug so the camera hangs vertically when carrying it by the neck strap. Not sure this would work as well with the grip. The strap I am using is the Tamrac N-25 Camera Strap with Quick Release, when not necessary the quick release removes it quickly leaving only the wrist strap and the Tamrac tags. John McMaster Posted May 8, 2014 Author Share #4 Posted May 8, 2014 Thanks, I did consider that. I think the hand strap will be coming off (glad I did not pay extra for it!) as I find it is too far forwards for my usage, it slides down over my fingers and does not add much stability. It also makes it harder for index finger to turn shutter dial. I use the S2 in a similar way to my Ms, wrap neck strap around right wrist and carry camera in hand. When used on tripod I will be taking the multi-grip off as it off-centres the RRS bracket. john
John McMaster Posted May 11, 2014 Author Share #5 Posted May 11, 2014 I guess I have an earlier model? Current model the hand strap is an extra but on mine it is permanently attached to the grip, if I remove it then it will not be easy to replace again... john
