I have one that is used by Getty and there is a part for a witness to sign . Is that really necessary , and in which cases . It is in this case for an adult . Thanks very much in advance !  A parent or guardian has to sign for a minor, not a witness.  I suppose Getty includes a place for a witness signature to be on the ultra safe side, or something to that effect. Next they'll require it be notarized …LOL!  I've only seen releases that require the signature of the talent, and it should stipulate usage limitations if any, and include compensation … if only $1.  Release for a website depends on the gig. Probably a good idea for any model, but for samples of wedding or event work it would be impossible to get signatures from all recognizable persons.  - Marc Link to post Share on other sites More sharing options...

The model was hired by the organiser for who I was working and she didn't sign a release , but I want to put some photos on my website , just being a bit hesitant . Thanks again ! Â And totally impractical. Which is why a suitable clause is included my wedding photography contracts. Â To the OP, yes you would be advised to obtain model release.
