Advertisement Posted April 23, 2014 Posted April 23, 2014 Hi spero pa, Take a look here Question re flash on an M3. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
giordano Posted April 23, 2014 Share #2 Posted April 23, 2014 You have to use 1/50. At any shorter speed, the shutter is never fully open and the flash will only illuminate part of the image. That said, some people have made creative use of this. By setting the shutter to 1/100 and turning the camera vertically you can restrict the flash illumination to either the top or the bottom of the image and have the rest exposed by available light only. spero pa Posted April 23, 2014 Author Share #3 Posted April 23, 2014 Thanks for that suggestion using flash @ 100 sec in portrait position, that could be a good idea, that could help when I have a printing session.I was able to obtain a flash sync adaptor for the rear of the M3 and a white plastic plug to cover the flash bulb socket. Any other advice to get the best out of my M3 ? Paul.
