dkCambridgeshire Posted April 8, 2014 Share #1 Posted April 8, 2014 Advertisement (gone after registration) This morning I saw a newly listed Digilux 3 priced £120 with a 14-150mm (that's the very scarce PanaLeica megazoom) listed separately for £299-99. I thought they'd be worth buying so called the LCE branch whence was advised,"Gone I'm afraid … we thought they'd hang around!!" The lens usually sells for double the price … and the camera too. Someone has a bargain dunk
Advertisement Posted April 8, 2014 Posted April 8, 2014 Hi dkCambridgeshire, Take a look here Bargain Digilux 3 with PanaLeica 14-150mm. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
wda Posted April 8, 2014 Share #2 Posted April 8, 2014 It is only a bargain Dunk if you really need it. While the lens might be outstanding, 7mp is very limiting nowadays.

I have a use for a £120 Digilux 3 … and already have the 14mm to 150mm lens … however, would have bought the lens on behalf of someone else who needs same. The Digilux 3 is a bit of history … I already have the E-330 and L1 … the Digilux 3 would have completed the trinity … and could be the basis of a magazine article. dunk
plewislambert Posted April 10, 2014 Share #4 Posted April 10, 2014 "While the lens might be outstanding, 7mp is very limiting nowadays" I have been using a Digilux 3 for some months. It's a very nice camera once it has the updated firmware and a class 10 SD card. Of course it doesn't allow the kind of on-screen enlargement you can accept with an M9 but if you fill the frame(it has a good bright zoom lens) you can get some nice results. It's the camera I take when out walking with friends If I am walking by myself I take the M9 and spend time on each shot but the lack of a 28-100mm zoom is a hindrance. I suppose an XV would be a good modern replacement.... Philip:)
