terrycioni Posted April 24, 2007 Share #1  Posted April 24, 2007 Advertisement (gone after registration) A couple of weekends ago there was a large camera swap meet in Vancouver. A friend (Tom Abrahamson) purchased a Telyt with a 400mm and 560mm head along with two adapters one for the R and the other for Nikon F both adapters made by Leitz AG. The Telyt is equiped with the Visoflex adapter.  Tom has generously loaned the Telyt and heads to me and I decided to check it out on the M8 with the Visoflex III.  All shots are hand held (I don't have the Telyt shoulder stock). The shot of the guy with the Bluetooth ear piece is through a rather dirty window at Dave's Fish N' Chips in Steveston (Richmond) BC. What is old is new again... They were shot with the 400mm head (530mm equiv) on the M8. I have not yet tried the 560mm head but will when I can get out again. The Telyt is a F5.6 both both heads.  Terry. Welcome, dear visitor! terrycioni Posted April 24, 2007 Author Share #3 Â Posted April 24, 2007 Terry your costing me money. LOLÂ These look great!! Â Hi Guy, Â These were cheap, $400.00CDN for the entire package. Go to the local swap meet... It is an amazing find -- clunky with the Visoflex but does work. So much fun Guy. Just like the 90mm Macro. Fun. Â Cheers. carstenw Posted April 24, 2007 Share #7 Â Posted April 24, 2007 Advertisement (gone after registration) Could you post some centre and corner crops? I am curious how they hold up. I am also curious about bokeh, so if you have some shots with out of focus foliage in the corners, I would love to see them too

They are very old lenses and frankly given their age and grace I believe they stand the test of time extremely well.

terrycioni Posted April 24, 2007 Author Share #11  Posted April 24, 2007 I will put together a few shots of the rig.... so all can see what a monster it is..  Telyt has the 560 head attached. Stephen on the left is holding the 400mm head. Tom is stoking up his pipe. Photographer is Tuulikki A. with her trusty Ricoh GRD. Havana Cafe, Commercial Dr. Vancouver. Sunday afternoon.  Cheers. gogopix Posted April 27, 2007 Share #13 Â Posted April 27, 2007 They are very nice shots. The 6.8 is a lot smaller. I have a 5.6 somewhere just remember it was heavy. I'll dig out with this inspiration Terry, but I better get my 64 yr old muscles in shape first! Â :-)
