There is usually a way to restore factory settings. Explore that option. I presume you have tried moving the switch selector several times between settings; powered down and switched on again?

There may as well be a mechanical/electrical problem with the main switch. In that case you would have to send the camera to Leica for repair.

David, I took your advice and restored the factory setting and voila! Thanks a bunch!

Tri, I am pleased that action worked out for you. I have never needed it, but it useful to know that it is there when all other remedial measures fail to solve a problem.

I have been noticing that mine gets stuck sometimes in continuous.

I will be shooting with the flash, then bump it into C, and that's when I notice the flash stops working. I then switch it to S, but it remains in continuous mode. Switching it off and on has been fixing it, but it is kind if annoying.

Could you please explain how to restore to factory settings? Is this the same as setting the camera to "Default Settings" in the User Profile menu?

I just had a look into the manual. It states:

RESETTING ALL MENU SETTINGS TO THE FACTORY DEFAULTS:

Select User Profile in the menu, and Default profile in the submenu

Note:

When resetting to the factory default settings, your settings for the

date, time and language are not reset

So, I would conclude that both are indeed the same.

Best regards, Gerd
