Perhaps you mean the M6, whose manual says that the "exposure meter can be powered by two 1.55-volt silver oxide button cells, or by one 3-volt lithium cell." The alkaline kind of cell is only nominally 1.5 volts. It does not put out a constant voltage over its life span. [edit] Sorry, I missed the "4X" in the first post, which then has to be about the M7. payasam Posted March 14, 2014 Share #6 Posted March 14, 2014 Your exposure meter readings will not be accurate or consistent. The LR44's output voltage varies over the cell's life span.
