Took the M with me, of course, as I hardly get to shoot anything of much interest at the moment. I must say the M handles these kinds of mixed light sources so much better than the M9 could. Don't know if it's the increased DR but it can show lights clearly defined and not a squelchy mess and blown colour channels like the M9 used to. Really quite impressive. These are mostly just family snapshots and nothing I've had time to think about and slave over. Kids and mixed light don't really afford you much time to stop and perfect. I love the colors it's capable of and it seems to handle these pretty demanding conditions very well. The shot of Olympic gold winner Chris Dean holding my friends daughter blows my mind. I often struggle to justify the ownership of my M when I'm so time poor and it doesn't get used for days/weeks on end sometimes. That photo for me makes me fall back in love with it instantly and what it can do; it and totally justifies owning it.
