Photoskeptic Posted February 16, 2014 Share #1 Posted February 16, 2014 Advertisement (gone after registration) Well, I've just about had it with the color files of my D800, specifically sunrises and sunsets. OTOH, my M8.2 still produces the best color (with a touch of tweaking ) that I've had in a digital camera. For those of you who have shot both, would you consider the S2 color files comparable to the M8.2? Thanks for all replies.

John McMaster Posted February 16, 2014 Share #2 Posted February 16, 2014 I took shots of a sunset with my M(240) and S2, the M was very exaggerated colour (but could be controlled) and the S was true to the scene OOC... john
peterv Posted February 16, 2014 Share #3 Posted February 16, 2014 For those of you who have shot both, would you consider the S2 color files comparable to the M8.2? Absolutely! I shot the M8 for a few years, then I went for the Sony A900 and a few NEX cameras before I bought into the S system. Seeing the colours coming out of my S2 reminds me of the M8, very similar indeed. Same generation CCD in combination with Leica glass.
