dkCambridgeshire Posted February 7, 2014 Share #1 Posted February 7, 2014 Advertisement (gone after registration) At least one UK Leica Premier dealer is listing the X-Vario at the discounted price of £1949 complete with handgrip, finger loop, spare battery, neoprene case, SD HC card & '99 Year book' as a special offer ref the Leica Centenary. And another dealer is offering the camera as a Centenary deal at £2150 with (A) Tan protector case, wrist strap, battery, and neoprene case … or ( handgrip, finger loop, spare battery and neoprene case. Both dealers include over £300 worth of accessories in the price. Other dealers continue to list the camera at £2150 and £1999 with no mention of the accessories. With the Centenary offer accessories kit the X-Vario is a very attractive proposition. Leica Mayfair's website hints at Centenary offers on 'selected products' if customers 'ask in store' … but the message is a bit 'maybe-ish' i.e. non-specific. But X-Vario marketing (Mini M ) has not been one of their strong points dunk

dunos Posted February 7, 2014 Share #2 Posted February 7, 2014 I emailed the Mayfair store and they responded with: The collections are for complementary accessories with the X Vario, and are one of two options: 1 – Cognac Camera Protector, Cognac Wrist Strap, Spare Battery and Neoprene Case 2 – Black Handgrip, Fingerloop, Spare Battery and Neoprene Case I assume this means that they will sell the camera at RRP. The dealer offer is more attractive I think. Although Red Dot's weekend opening times are not... useful.
