RSilva Posted February 3, 2014 Share #1 Posted February 3, 2014 Advertisement (gone after registration) Hi, I love photography and always lured to have a Leica. Finally I was able to get a brand new old stock Leica M6 for a very reasonable price. I also got myself a very complete Leica R setup with some amazing lenses that I am loving to use with my digital fuji. At the moment I am searching for some M lenses which brought me here. Hope to have some fun. Thanks

Brenton C Posted February 3, 2014 Share #2 Posted February 3, 2014 Well welcome to the forum. I'm pretty new here too--began exploring my own Leica yearnings last summer. I've become very attached to my M3, and suspect your "6" will be the same for you. I was persuaded by positive reviews to get a summicron 50mm F 2 lens, but many prefer a wider angle as their "standard" lens on a rangefinder. I went with a vintage lens--somewhere I read a comparison of the characteristics of summicrons from various manufacturing eras. All phenomenal, with subtle differences in contrast, sharpeness, etc. The forum is a friendly and helpful place to get "stuck in."

Thank you, I am looking for a summicron 35 to start with (at the moment I don´t have any lens for the M) but I guess that I will choose the best I mean the asph version.
