Oscar and Grammy winning composer Hans Zimmer has just started a competition to recruit a composer to work with his team. He has uploaded a short orchestration with various stems (instrumental and vocal parts) to SoundCloud, inviting composers to show their stuff. If you are a filmmaker, you may be interested in checking out the submissions. Some of them are remarkable, and they demonstrate the breadth of what can be done with a melody.
