brianpe Posted April 21, 2007 Share #1 Posted April 21, 2007 Advertisement (gone after registration) My free filters finally arrived. I was pleased (relieved, more like it) that the lens cap for the 28 elmarit still snaps on over the filter. The bright red reflection when looking at them off-axis doesn't seem to be as pronounced as I've seen posted here, and the ngle to get it to reflect is quite critical. I'll be curious to see if anyone notices while I'm shooting.

marknorton Posted April 21, 2007 Share #3 Posted April 21, 2007 I'm still waiting for my freebies but I have bought 2 39s and 2 46s, the entire dealer stock, and they work well on a 28/2, 35/2, 50/1.4 ASPH and 90/4. It's the bigger sizes which seem to be held up - 55s, 60s and the 67.
Guest guy_mancuso Posted April 21, 2007 Share #4 Posted April 21, 2007 I have Leica's on my WATE, 28,35,50 and 90 macro and B+W on the 75 lux and 90 apo and looks like a long wait for 55 and 60 and i have recieved none of my 4 freebies yet

Guest tummydoc Posted April 21, 2007 Share #6 Posted April 21, 2007 looks like a long wait for 55 and 60 Supposed to be fairly soon but who knows. Too bad Leica didn't specify those to be made first because 21, 24 ASPH take 55s and 21 pre-ASPH takes a 60. Those are the Leica lenses (aside from the WATE) that need the cyan correction the most. Guest guy_mancuso Posted April 21, 2007 Share #7 Posted April 21, 2007 Advertisement (gone after registration) There just really hard to make from what Leica told me . Someone mentioned there is like 30 layers of coating on these filters. Like to know the process of how these are made, be interesting. Hopefully they will be here soon. I have the WATE covered with a Leica 49mm and the adapter and it works like magic on how clean the corners are. Great lens Vinay may want to add this one to the collection
brianpe Posted April 21, 2007 Author Share #8 Posted April 21, 2007 Which thread sizes you have selected? I selected two 39mm: one for a 50' cron and one for a 28' elmarit. I ordered these in early Feburary.

Tom Ditto. I ordered 39 and 43. They just notified me by email that they were out of stock and it would be two more weeks before they are available.
