Advertisement Posted January 23, 2014 Posted January 23, 2014 Hi 620max, Take a look here anyone use the Summicron 35mm "type iii"?. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
tobey bilek Posted January 28, 2014 Share #2 Posted January 28, 2014 Had mine and traded it for a V4. No significant image difference. The 3 is not glued together like the 4. By glued I mean the optical cell in whole or part is glued into the focusing mount. Mine has held up many decades, but other grab the front to lock it onto the camera and break the glue bond. Grab the ribbed ring at the rear to tighten. The square shade is more efficient, but hard to replace. Any round Summicron hood can be substituted. I believe you hold out for what you want or buy what is available. Good condition 35`s are hard to find so I have been told. I would rather have a good older one than a beat up new ASPH.
