jtharvie Posted July 25, 2006 Share #1 Posted July 25, 2006 Advertisement (gone after registration) These are escapees from a Hutterite farm about 80 kilometers down river from Winnipeg. They have been traveling down the Assisnboine river and came to a dead stop when they reached what is know as "The Forks" where the Assiniboine River meets the Red River. This area is a National Park and tourist area. Normally the boat operator sells seeds and grain for the wild ducks but these Peking Ducks have been getting all the attention. The local naturalist was on the radio today saying that he doubts these ducks will leave and if rounded up they will make there way back in very short order.. Tullahoma Posted July 26, 2006 Share #2 Posted July 26, 2006 It is only fitting that the Peking Ducks are taking over Canada, because, from our local view, the Canada Geese are taking over Tennessee, USA.
