ernst_leitz Posted December 28, 2013 Share #1 Posted December 28, 2013 Advertisement (gone after registration) In one only (so far) frame the following miscoloured streak of green appeared as visible in the attached pictures: One full frame and one with the green area enlarged. Anyone experienced this result before? Any explanation to its cause? Apologies if this has been discussed before. If so please give me the link. Thanks in advance. Welcome, dear visitor! Advertisement Posted December 28, 2013 Posted December 28, 2013 Hi ernst_leitz, Take a look here Miscoloured area in picture taken with M9. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
wattsy Posted December 28, 2013 Share #2 Posted December 28, 2013 It's almost certainly related to the 'green stripe' phenomenon that was a much more common (though still rare) occurrence with the M8. It's caused by a bright light source located just on the edge of the frame. I have had a single green stripe appear since 2009 so it's not something you are likely to see again in a hurry. jip Posted December 28, 2013 Share #3 Posted December 28, 2013 I've had it a few times with the M8.2 when taking pictures of a christmas tree back in 2012, where the small lights in the tree probably made it happen... don't worry its probably not a damaged sensor.
