Nick_S Posted December 26, 2013 Share #1 Posted December 26, 2013 Advertisement (gone after registration) Now that DNG files are available from the Nokia Lumia 1020, with support in Adobe Lightroom 5.3, has anyone here tried working with these files? It would be nice to finally get some decent raw output from a smartphone and not have to carry around a compact camera when a Leica M is too large (or as a colour supplement to the Monochrom) Nick

AlanG Posted December 27, 2013 Share #3 Posted December 27, 2013 This reminds me of something I saw a few days ago. A friend or mine showed me some beautiful close up shots she made with a smart phone. Some were of colorful spiders and others were of baby birds in nests, etc. She has a very good eye and understands her subjects and lighting really well. I realized that the tiny sensor allowed her to have a lot of depth of field on very close subjects and that would be very difficult to achieve with typical 35mm gear.
