kenball Posted December 23, 2013 Share #1 Posted December 23, 2013 Advertisement (gone after registration) HI all, I assume the white streak lower left corner is result of dead pixels? I am inquiring via email--> customer.care@leica-camera.com for warranty service, hope they get back to me soon.. This was purchased in June of this year ;-( Has anyone experienced this problem with MM? Kb
Advertisement Posted December 23, 2013 Posted December 23, 2013 Hi kenball, Take a look here White Streak - Monochrom. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
Ecar Posted December 24, 2013 Share #2 Posted December 24, 2013 Welcome. Yes, dead pixels. Sensor needs re-mapping. Not sure if CS (sorry, it's CC now...) in Solms is responding during the X-Mas holiday period. You may have to wait until January for a reply... kenball Posted December 25, 2013 Author Share #3 Posted December 25, 2013 That is disappointing, also its rather vague on who I turn to for warranty help, US Leica or Solms? Ken
Duane Pandorf Posted December 25, 2013 Share #4 Posted December 25, 2013 That is disappointing, also its rather vague on who I turn to for warranty help, US Leica or Solms? Ken If you bought it in the US I'd contact Leica NJ for warranty work. I've had the same issue with my Leica M-E and Leica NJ took care it.
wjkotze Posted December 26, 2013 Share #5 Posted December 26, 2013 In the meantime you can rescue some of your current shots by using the healing brush tool in Lightroom 5. Pick the smallest brush size and do a vertical stroke by holding the shift key. Increase zoom to 300% and nudge the healing area by using the back/forward cursor to just cover the line. Then nudge the source area to a position just a few pixels outside the line. Do it on one image and then copy and paste on the others. In most cases it does a surprisingly good job.
