ironringer Posted December 22, 2013 Share #1 Posted December 22, 2013 Advertisement (gone after registration) Hello Leica historians: Can collectors please tell me if Leica made a small tabletop tripod in the early 1950s? For display I want to mount my 1953 IIIf on a similar-date small tripod, and don't know what to look for. Also, does the correct 1953 period cable release, have a black cloth covered cable? Thank you and Merry Christmas

ironringer Posted December 24, 2013 Author Share #3 Posted December 24, 2013 Thank you jc_braconi for showing us this picture, a beautiful array of little tripods. I found a website with a 1953 pricelist that shows the #14,100 TOOUG table tripod (at that time probably in black crackle finish), and the #14,105 FOOMI small ball head. So that's what I will look for in 2014. Do Leica enthusiasts often communicate with model numbers and code names, like a secret language, or do they use more general item descriptions? Merry Christmas everyone
