From little time I bought a IIIF RD with self-timer. Now I want know what type of cable I do can use to connect the camera to the PC synchro socket? payasam Posted December 21, 2013 Share #2 Posted December 21, 2013 Welcome, Bruno. You can use electronic flash with your IIIf. The camera has, I think, a standard PC (Prontor Compur) socket -- unlike the M3 and the M2 -- so the commonest kind of plug (co-axial) will fit. Shutter speed and flash delay (the numbered ring under the speed dial) will need to be at the correct settings. For the "red dial" IIIf, these are 1/25 sec. and 0 (zero) or 1/50 sec. and 20, I think: but please check. I shall be glad to send you a PDF manual for the camera if you send me your e-mail address.
