Jamie Roberts Posted April 19, 2007 Share #21  Posted April 19, 2007 Advertisement (gone after registration) BAD boy Jamie! It is literally impossible to do this test accurately without a tripod: you have to ex-out everything but the F-stop and have all other factors common. Really. Otherwise you might have slightly better focus in one shot than another and regard it as a function of the lens when it is really a function of you....  Hope you're well!  Tim  Heh heh heh--what I meant Tim, is that for real-life shooting I find no need for a tripod Really! That's why I said for testing using a tripod is a good idea!  Hope you're doing well too!

jfgilbert Posted April 19, 2007 Author Share #22 Â Posted April 19, 2007 Look at the carpet, the edges of the table, the (what is that?) bomb-making material (?) at the left. They're all good. --HC Â I feel I have to respond, at least to reduce the risk of having Homeland Security break down my door in the middle of the night: The blue thing at the left is an ice bucket. Or a vase, if you do not like your Champagne chilled. Cheers, Jacques
