I don't know if this was posted before but that is a great read (the whole site is) :

leica.overgaard.dk - Thorsten Overgaard's Leica Pages - Leica M9 Digital Rangefinder Camera - Page 17: "Light metering with the Leica M9 and Leica M9-P and Leica M Monochrom"

It is about the M9 but is entirely applicable to M240.

Guest Gilgamesh

I got as far as being turn off by yet another 50mm f0.? shot of his, gawd he does over cook things with his persistent use of this G'awful lens, allied to an opening gambit of, "Interesting light is often the most challenging light to work with", that confirmed my decision to press the esc key.

LOL, Gilgamesh is indeed a merciless warrior and chimaera slayer.

Some parts are a bit cheesy alright but it is a fine sum up and answers a few questions asked here.

As I still don't have my M, it is also a good way to deal with my daily cravings for Leica porn.

(Agree a about the F0. lens BTW)
