jrovner Posted November 26, 2013 Share #1 Posted November 26, 2013 Advertisement (gone after registration) Today I brought out my M9 with a 50mm Summilux to do some shooting. Shooting in aperture priority mode, the camera was underexposing by several stops. It didn't seem to matter what aperture I was using. I turned off the camera, removed the battery, then put everything back together and continued to have the problem. I confirmed that: 1. There were no neutral density or other filters on the lens. 2. There was no exposure compensation in use. 3. My ISO was 200, and the shutter wheel was definitely on the A. 4. I was shooting in DNG mode. 5. I had plenty of battery life. I'm pretty adept at getting good exposure with the camera, so this can't be explained by a backlit situation or something similar. To be sure, I tested in situations with no backlighting and low contrast. I was able to salvage the day by shooting with manual exposure and chimping, and the camera seemed to respect my manual shutter settings. Has anyone else had this experience? I'm hoping I won't have to ship the M9 off for service.

run23 Posted November 26, 2013 Share #2 Posted November 26, 2013 This happened to me once. I hit reset on the main menu and that fixed the problem. I hope it works for you.
