I also have a V-lux 1. I have always wanted a Leica but they have always been out of my range.

In college I was a very actiive 35mm shooter with a Nikon F3.

Now with a family and 20 years later, it was time to move beyond my Sony PHD digital. The issue was I didn't want the hassle of a bag of lenses, flashes and accessories. At the same time I wanted control.

So now I am a VERY happy owner of a V-lux 1.

I have a V-lux1 discussion group at Yahoo Groups. Please join to discuss our Leicas.

(Shh....dont tell my wife the Panasonic was $250 cheaper.)

I had to post my parrot photo too. It is also shown with no correction.

The Bald eagles were, hand held, taken on a cloudy day, with the zoom full out and the digital zoom set at 2X. They were close to the top of a 120 foot pine and across a golf course green in The Woodlands, Tx. I posted it to show what the zoom is capable of.

I love my V Lux as well, and for the price it's unbeatable. As much as I know the M8 is a great camera, the V lux more than holds its own for a fraction of the cost.

A gentleman mentioned in some early forums how great the recent batch of Leica cameras

are, most of which however, are over shadowed by the M8, and so they don't receive the attention they deserve.

Hello!

I'm a new owner of a V LUX... two days.

I am not a experienced. I can't believe how do you take this pics ! I supose there must be any post processing in Photoshop or similar no?

I found that the nois is important, bur found NeatImage as a plugin and works very well, preserving a lot the sharpness.

I use the RAW way, but I don't like too much the Photoshop converter. Anybody knows if KILKYPIX (comes with de LUMIX FZ50) is working as well witj V LUX ?

I thought that only this cameras has noise... and made a comparation here:

Digital Cameras, Digital Camera Reviews - The Imaging Resource!

Have a look, you will discover how noise other popular cameras have!

Hello again.

For example: I configure the "noise reduction" High.

I imagine that shoting in JPEG the camera makes a process for noise reduction. (I supouse that the RAW don't has any camera process)

But, in this case, if I shot in RAW and it creates also a JPEG image... Is this JPEG processed as well with the "noise reduction" cameta settting?

Thanks

Salvador
