ModernMan Posted November 11, 2013 Share #42 Posted November 11, 2013 ... I have embraced modern technology long before most of before most of you ever heard of digigital workflow. ... I have owned DS 6250 drum scanners. ... I have owned every camera system you can imagine. Oh my. The light is so bright. I'm reaching for my king-size lens shade and 100x ND filter. sisoje Posted November 11, 2013 Share #43 Posted November 11, 2013 I have nothing to add to this lively discussion, then just to ask: How the heck Ansel Adams did all those images of landscapes and remote locations with out GPS? I mean to make a black and white photo like that and don't record coordinates???... :
flyalf Posted November 11, 2013 Share #44 Posted November 11, 2013 This answer is a bit on the side, and many of you are probably aware of this; I'm using a small android app on my mobile (Geotag Photos Pro). t record positions independent of camera used, and back home I geotag all photos from my PC. Works ok, but I sometimes forget to start app (shows how much I can trust my mind or memory ).. The geotagging can be quite useful. Im hoping to do more on a possible project to photograph old (and abandoned) houses, and the position is helpful to search for more information. Also for some web publishing its useful to have the ability to display on maps.
