CaptZoom Posted November 4, 2013 Share #1 Posted November 4, 2013 Advertisement (gone after registration) The current implementation of Adobe CC does not work for me, YMMV. If Adobe offered true cloud computing at are near the current price, I would not hesitate to enroll. I extensively use Lightroom, Photoshop and Illustrator. I occasionally use InDesign and Dreamweaver, and do not consider them to be critical for me. I know Capture One can directly replace Lightroom. What are some areas where C1 excels? What're the shortcomings? Who does the assert management compare with LR? How robust is the tagging function (I average well over 50 keywords per image, so tagging is essential for me)? I think Pixelmator may be an alternative to Photoshop. Any one have experience with it? How deep is the program? How's the layers functionality? Gradients? At $15, it's not a major investment, and I may give it a go soon. But if any of you already have experience with it, could you share your thoughts? I've no idea what would replace Adobe Illustrator. It may be end up being the only reason to stick with Adobe for me. Any suggestions?

David Monkhouse Posted November 4, 2013 Share #2 Posted November 4, 2013 Try the Capture One free download, all the facilities and for 60 days. I cannot comment on your specific requirement but I have used C1 since it was part of my M8 purchase and cannot fault it. Am using v.7 pro.
