gravastar Posted November 2, 2013 Share #2 Posted November 2, 2013 Does anyone know who makes leather half cases for a Leica M hooked up to a Multifunctional Grip? No, I also am very interested in this. Problem is the grip is only just becoming available and probably not yet available to case manufactures as a template. The outer case of the MFG appears to be thin plastic which is easily marked. You can feel it flexing when squeezed. I wonder if the range of wifi cards is extended due to it being plastic? Bob. gravastar Posted November 2, 2013 Share #4 Posted November 2, 2013 I really care about the range of the GPS. That's why I want one. The inside base of the MFG is metal so WiFi cards probably won't work, also they could interfere with GPS operation. So far the GPS seems to acquire a lock outdoors in 10s to 40s and up to 2min indoors as long as you are a within one or two metres of a window. One application will be to use it in wooded/forest areas. It will be a few weeks before I can try it under these conditions. As winter approaches the trees are shedding their leaves which will influence the results. Bob
