Arka Posted November 2, 2013 Share #1 Posted November 2, 2013 Advertisement (gone after registration) I'm a relative newcomer to the M, and find the camera delightful overall. There's one real showstopper (literally) that is getting on my nerves though; the tendency of the camera to unpredictably refuse to take a picture. I press the shutter, and I see 3 red lines in the bottom of the VF. I have to reboot the camera (which takes about 2-3s), and by then, the subject has changed. This happens often enough to be a real annoyance (about every 100-150 clicks), so I wonder if you all have any thoughts as to how to minimize the problem? I am using a 64GB 95MB/s card, and am on the latest firmware. Also, I notice that the camera occasionally renders preview images in a purple/magenta cast when zooming in. This problem is also curable via reboot, and is only slightly annoying, but I wonder if anyone here has seen it and has suggestions as to what can be done about it? Any thoughts you have would be most welcome.

thighslapper Posted November 2, 2013 Share #2 Posted November 2, 2013 Dodgy Electronics. If you have had it for a while and gone through a few battery charges to ensure constant full voltage then this sounds like a permanent electonic fault. I'd contact Leica and I suspect you will end up with a new camera.....

I've been through several battery charges on two different batteries. I've also tried a number of different kinds of SD cards.
