sclemmons Posted October 26, 2013 Share #1 Posted October 26, 2013 Advertisement (gone after registration) If I download Lightroom using the coupon that came with my M, and I upgrade my computer later this year, will I be able to download it again or transfer it to the new computer? I have a MacBook Pro from 2008 with 4G of RAM. Will this work with the new LIghroom or will it be unsatisfactory?
Advertisement Posted October 26, 2013 Posted October 26, 2013 Hi sclemmons, Take a look here Lightroom download. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
wda Posted October 26, 2013 Share #2 Posted October 26, 2013 According to the licence you are allowed to run the software on two computers. Going beyond that limit, you need to de-register the outgoing computer's copy with Adobe, thus enabling a further download to your new machine. andybarton Posted October 26, 2013 Share #3 Posted October 26, 2013 If you use the superb Migration Assistant when you buy your new Mac, all your software and everything else will get transferred to your new one seemlessly. But you can and should deregister the copy on your old Mac too.

microview Posted October 26, 2013 Share #5 Posted October 26, 2013 Thanks! Big help. I downloaded LR5 to a (Snow Leopard) iMac desktop then transferred it to backup disk prior to installation on a second iMac which I first had to upgrade to OS Mountain Lion (now there's the later Maverick OS). After updating to Mountain Lion, LR5 was fine after copying from backup to Applications folder. I didn't find it appreciably better than LR4 – but maybe others will refute that! (I didn't simply upgrade my day-to-day iMac in case other existing programs/applications might cease to work.) Leica permits two downloads of the free program only.
