mike prevette Posted April 16, 2007 Share #21 Posted April 16, 2007 Advertisement (gone after registration) I use the ricoh 21/28 for my CV15 and ziess 21 I think it works great. The offset of it's shoe is a little wierd and can cover up the shutter speed dial, but it's still vary useable. _mike
Advertisement Posted April 16, 2007 Posted April 16, 2007 Hi mike prevette, Take a look here Best finder for CV 15 on M8. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
gdewitt Posted April 16, 2007 Share #22 Posted April 16, 2007 Gary, funny you should mention that. I got one recently (the CV21 finder) and everything I shot was about 5 degrees off axis. Turned out that the glass element in the finder was installed improperly. Sent it back and got one with correctly adjusted framelines. SP I just discovered the problem this weekend. Must've been the first time I used this finder on shots including the horizon. Guess I'll have to see about getting it exchanged.
misha Posted April 16, 2007 Share #23 Posted April 16, 2007 discovered the same problem with mine. i had it for about 3 weeks. do you think i should be going back to b&h or the manufactorer? thanks m
prav66 Posted April 17, 2007 Author Share #24 Posted April 17, 2007 I wonder if the problem is not with the finder but with the hotshoe not being 100% horizontally aligned with the lens axis?
misha Posted April 17, 2007 Share #25 Posted April 17, 2007 doubt it, as the cv 15mm finder appears fine

Certainly, in UK, it is the person who sold it to you who is responsible for it being 'of merchantable quality' and for replacing it if it isn't. It might also be worth asking the shop to inspect the replacement before they send it to you, to make sure that it's OK.
