Sending my M to Solms for Warranty Repairs--Who Pays Shipping?

I have a M Type 240--bought in June, 4500 actuations. It needs to go back to Solms for several reasons:

--continuing red edge issues with both my 35 'cron ASPH and 24 Elmar ASPH--with the latest FW installed (improved with the latest FW, but still evident)

--continuing sudden shutdowns necessitating removing and reinstalling the battery--with the latest FW

--a small glitch in the led framelines

--rangefinder adjustment

--LCD brightness flickers sporadically

I guess my M seems to have more issues than most. I wrote to Leica Service in Solms two days ago to ask about returning the camera for service--no response so far. It's very expensive to ship the camera, and my two wides, from the US to Germany. My question is, based on your experiences, who pays for shipping to Solms and back? I think there are enough issues with the camera--just 4.5 months in, and with average use--that I shouldn't have to absorb any costs. It's enough of a penalty to be without it for several weeks, but what should I expect?

My experience with M9:

I had to send one of my M9s to NJ (from Toronto, Canada). Even worse scenario then shipping it with in US, going over the boarder!

Took it my dealer, who sold me the camera. They sent it to NJ, took care of shipping and handled all communications with Leica service. Camera came back after a month (because most of the service staff was "out for M240 training"). Anyways, camera came back with everything back to specs. My cost=$0 :D
