Is there a special setting one needs to activate?
Advertisement Posted April 15, 2007 Posted April 15, 2007 Hi cottonc, Take a look here Memory Meter Lock. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
chetccox Posted April 15, 2007 Share #2 Â Posted April 15, 2007 The camera of course has to be in 'A' mode. Pressing the shutter release down to the first place you feel it stop will not activate the lock. You need to push it down into the next position just before it trips the shutter. If the mark doesn't show up your camera is defective. There are no settings to turn this function on or off.

cottonc Posted April 15, 2007 Author Share #4 Â Posted April 15, 2007 Now I SEE it. The manual says you should look for it at the top of the rangefinder, but it's actuall embedded in the shutter speed lcd read out- Thanks again for helping me get this straight. chetccox Posted April 15, 2007 Share #5 Â Posted April 15, 2007 Sorry, I forgot to tell you where to look. There is a diagram at the beginning of the manual that shows this little mark and references it. I am glad your camera is OK. Have a Giraf for me. Â Sorry to be a Nit Picker but that is not what the manual says. It says "a red point appears at the top of the line of Figures. There are no figures near the top of the rangefinder windows. Â Good luck and have fun with your M8.
Venkman Posted April 15, 2007 Share #7 Â Posted April 15, 2007 Advertisement (gone after registration) It's the top line "within" the figures - probably a translation glitch.
