leica lux Posted October 23, 2013 Share #21 Posted October 23, 2013 Advertisement (gone after registration) Get an Expodisk ....... takes seconds to set a custom WB and is not much bigger than a filter ..... also more accurate as you meter off the main light source ..... Current WB is fine in most situations ..... but this is invaluable in difficult mixed light scenarios.... I will look around for one, that sounds like a good option. thighslapper Posted October 23, 2013 Share #22 Posted October 23, 2013 I think there's a language barrier (meant politely) and at 20,000+ images I'm being lenient.
jip Posted October 30, 2013 Share #23 Posted October 30, 2013 As for your S versus C mode I really don't understand what you are talking about, just like all the others following your thread so could you please explain WHY you do not like the S mode? You're talking about the EVF making your Live view stuck at x5 magnification, this might be due the fact that you have set 'Focus Aid' to 'Automatic' or maybe the 'Focus Peaking' button is faulty making the camera think you press this button, I don't think it can have something to do with the EVF itself. As for the shutter with a 35mm lens, I recently shot a picture at f2 with the 35mm Summicron-M at 1/3rd of a second, this was not possible for me with the M8 or M9 or M6, so I think the new shutter is allot better. Maybe if you use 'Light Metering Mode' 'Advanced' it would be possible that this makes your images 'shaken' at slower speeds because it means it measures the light with the sensor, meaning when you depress the shutter it'll have to re-cock the shutter first then take the picture... (This maybe also is the reason you don't like the S mode?!) As for saying you don't like something without explaining why, this is no real use to me, or probably anyone... It's like saying 'I don't like this car, just because' this is not worth posting on a forum. I only have the camera for 1 day, so please enlighten me. Guest borge Posted October 30, 2013 Share #24 Posted October 30, 2013 1. Never managed to go over 60 secs in an exposure to date ..... Too bad! Cause it can be quite fun. This is a 7 minute exposure on a Fujifilm X-Pro1 at ISO200 with a 12 stop nd filter at f/16 with the 18mm (28mm equalent). A boat passed by while I took the shot, but you can't see it due to the length of the exposure. The image basically came out of the camera as you see it here: Skylight by Børge Indergaard, on Flickr
