Lexar card formated but PC won't see it.

What gives here?

 

New LEXAR 2 GB Pro card from an authorized dealer gets formated in the M8, captures images which I can review on the camera but, when attempting to read the images in the computer, the card isn't being seen by the PC? Everything I'm doin' is the same as I've always done with previous LEXAR cards of the same type in the same camera.

 

Any ideas?

Silly me: I temporarily forgot that Mr. Billy Gates' Windows software was NEVER designed to be user friendly. With no other instructions available, I did the most basic thing from the salad days of Microsoft's hegemony: reboot the bleedin' computer! All is right with the world again.

 

Now I just need to wait for the M8 battery to re-charge so I can update the bleedin' firmware.

 

What me - take photographs? Heck no, I've got to do fifty-nine more boring and tedious system management things to make everything work right.

 

(Anyone remember taking pictures with a completely mechanical M3 or M4? Ah, how fondly we remember those days when everything worked without batteries!)
