DMJ Posted September 24, 2013 Share #1 Posted September 24, 2013 Advertisement (gone after registration) Dear All, I had LR5 bundled with my M(240) & have installed it. Tried to do the update to version 5.2 but I just get a box telling me......'this file does not have a program associated with it for performing this action. Please install a program or, if one is already installed, create an association in the Default Programs control panel.' I have emailed Leica who have advised as they only supply Lightroom 5 not 5.2 that I should use the Adobe site. Never had this problem previously with LR4 updates when I had a key from Adobe. Has anyone else upgraded to LR5.2 having started with the Leica bundles version 5.0? Regards, Martin

wda Posted September 24, 2013 Share #2 Posted September 24, 2013 It was straightforward for me. Check with Adobe. Their forums are excellent and you might find your query already answered there.
Guest malland Posted September 24, 2013 Share #3 Posted September 24, 2013 Martin, I had no problem when I updated some time ago from 5.0 to 5.1. The other day, when I was upgrading from 5.1 to 5.2, my serial number was not being accepted. I went to the Adobe site and contacted technical support through an online chat, and found out I was erroneously trying to enter my earlier LR4 (got it with my M-Monochrom) serial number instead of my LR5 serial number, which I got when I bought my M9-P in February. You should try the Adobe online chat support service. —Mitch/Paris Tristes Tropiques [WIP]
mark_j Posted September 25, 2013 Share #4 Posted September 25, 2013 I have upgraded mine from 5.0 to 5.2 with no issues. One thing I did notice is that at some point it asked for my serial number but the form was already filled in and all I had to do was click ok. I don't remember upgrades of 4.0 (which I had purchased from Adobe) doing that. Mind you as I had already signed up for the monthly PS CC rental at £8.80 I did get an email from Adobe saying they had automatically signed me up for the new offer of PS & LR for the same price so maybe I am running that version? Anyways it works fine.
Dougg Posted September 25, 2013 Share #5 Posted September 25, 2013 Yes, I updated my 5.0 to 5.2 using Adobe's upgrade process (Check for Updates on the Help menu) and it went smoothly, noting the same unusual serial number auto-entry that Mark described.
