Frank Sprow Posted April 12, 2007 Share #1 Posted April 12, 2007 Advertisement (gone after registration) As an M8 owner, I love the camera but have had a few problems typical of those noted in the Digital forum. Recently I made a long trip to Zimbabwe and Zambia and purchased an M7 in advance since I knew that the electricity situation would be non-existent or flaky (travelling mainly along the Zambezi River), and that the controls on the M7 would be very familiar. Glad I did and I developed a very great respect for this camera, which delivered some wonderful images which, scanned at high resolution (25MB files), produce beautiful prints. In any case, I thought this camera would be a "backup" to the M8, but clearly I will often use and enjoy both.
Advertisement Posted April 12, 2007 Posted April 12, 2007 Hi Frank Sprow, Take a look here Nice to have a film M. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
frc Posted April 13, 2007 Share #2 Posted April 13, 2007 Lets hope this thread doesn't turn into a dig vs film one like so many other before have. There's digital with pros and cons and film with the both aswell. Film M's are great camera's, neither a film M nor an M8 is to be called just a backup.
