leica1215 Posted September 17, 2013 Share #1 Posted September 17, 2013 Advertisement (gone after registration) Hi , I am quite new to M 240, first time Leica for me, I often found when I shoot people when they are not in the center of the frame, I have hard time to get sharp focused picture. I used to move camera to the left ( for example) make focus then move camera back to cetner to shoot. this is not working well, I believe you guys can show me better way to do this Thanks in advance
Advertisement Posted September 17, 2013 Posted September 17, 2013 Hi leica1215, Take a look here how to focus when object not in the center?. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
matlep Posted September 17, 2013 Share #2 Posted September 17, 2013 Focus -> Recompose. Thats the way to do it. Sometimes you have to compensate by leaning forward or backward a bit depending on the distance.
01af Posted September 17, 2013 Share #3 Posted September 17, 2013 To compensate for the 'recompose error,' you'll always lean back, never forward. The amount depends on the distance and the angle of rotation away from the frame's center. But then, whenever you deliberately try to compensate you'll almost inevitably will over-compensate—so in real life, usually it's best not to compensate at all. The most-prevalent reason for mis-focused pictures isn't the recompose error anyway. Usually it's because the photographer or the subject or both moved between focusing and firing the shutter.
