wparsonsgisnet Posted April 12, 2007 Share #1 Â Posted April 12, 2007 Advertisement (gone after registration) Ok, it's opfficial. I just got the Leica e-newsletter (#4) and they are thanking Guy for his efforts in amassing the laundry list of problems and requests and working with Stefan Daniel. Â Just in case it hasn't been said often enuf -- thanks, Guy.

Jager Posted April 12, 2007 Share #2 Â Posted April 12, 2007 That's great news that Guy's above-and-beyond efforts on behalf of the M8 community are being recognized! I'll be looking forward to seeing the newsletter when I get home. Thanks for letting us know, Bill. And thanks, Guy, for all that you do! mlougee Posted April 12, 2007 Share #3 Â Posted April 12, 2007 This personal recognition, and this kind of "listening to your customers," is something which just doesn't happen very often with the Very Big Camera Companies. Â Congrats to Guy for persevering, and to Leica for engaging in the conversations here.
albertknappmd Posted April 12, 2007 Share #4 Â Posted April 12, 2007 It is so important for Leica to listen to its customers and I also commend Guy for his perseverance and tenacity. Well done! :)
Guest guy_mancuso Posted April 12, 2007 Share #5 Â Posted April 12, 2007 To all thanks , this is very nice but really not needed .I do appreciate it though and will continue this again with 1.102 which was just released. If anything the most important issue is leica is communicating with the end users and at the end of the day be it me or someone else we are getting answers but there is more to be done and also feature lists that we all want. So as a forum we will keep plowing forward. leica has said many times to me that they love this forum it gives them great feedback from there customers, so everyone should pat themselves on the back. sdai Posted April 12, 2007 Share #11 Â Posted April 12, 2007 So allow me to chime in before someone complains about the "redundant thank you" posts again LOL ... well done, Guy! Â What about the answer to our 16-bit question, Guy? they skipped it in the FAQ.

Johannes Knightworth Posted April 12, 2007 Share #14 Â Posted April 12, 2007 Comes to show what a "professional organization" the Leica company is. Hats off for any corporation that involves client comments like Leica does .... I am impressed, and almost sorry for buying a 5D ..... I said almost! cometsoft Posted April 12, 2007 Share #15 Â Posted April 12, 2007 Thanks Guy, and I too am very impressed with Leica. I can't imagine Canon or Nikon (or Adobe or Autodesk, etc) ever approaching this level of direct communications with their customers.
Guest guy_mancuso Posted April 12, 2007 Share #16 Â Posted April 12, 2007 Really guys the bottom line is leica is communicating with it's customers and forget me the important part is they want to engage us . Now we as end users still need to push and ask for the feature items we want and the bugs needs to go away and the fixes made. No camera will ever be perfect for everyone but no one said we can't get darn close either.

wparsonsgisnet Posted April 12, 2007 Author Share #20 Â Posted April 12, 2007 This amount of communication with a corporation IS really amazing. Â So is this Forum where posters have even beaten up the Gnomes. Â Plus, we're all taking pictures that we like. It doesn't get any better than this.
