X Vario instruction book!

Well, I collected my new x vario this morning and spent a pleasant morning in the camera shop with my husband looking at all things Leica. You can't get away without buying more than you intend too, it's like being in a sweet shop!

This evening after charging the battery, like all good new owners I looked at the instruction book before doing anything, well it cost a lot of money. We spent at least ten minutes trying to load the memory card the correct way round according to the manual! Thank goodness for downloads cos I had downloaded the instructions onto my iPad which were different from the printed manual. So which do I trust now? The hard copy or the virtual one?

If the download has a later date (it should) then it should have more up-to-date info.

In this instance the download is correct and the printed instruction book is wrong. I haven’t noticed any other discrepancies but, if there are any, I would follow badbob’s advice and go with the download. Like you, I keep it on my iPad which I am more likely to have with me than the booklet.
