leicashooter Posted September 1, 2013 Share #1 Posted September 1, 2013 Advertisement (gone after registration) I send in my M9 to Leica New Jersey to have them adjust the rangefinder which was front focusing ! They told me to send it in with a few lenses and they would adjust them to the camera . I send my 50 LUX and 35FLE after 3 weeks I got the camera and lenses back , the replaced the Sensor, circuit board ,adjust the rangefinder and a few other things . They fixed the rattling of the shutterblades on the 35 FLE , lubed the lenses everything works like new and it as sharp as can be. The camera was out of warranty , the service was free! Kudos to Leica for taking care of this .

Kudos to Leica for taking care of this . That's awesome! My brand new 21 Super Elmar had a crooked lens shade. Along with the Leica Store Los Angeles, they got it back in my hands a week later. Outstanding service!
krooj Posted September 2, 2013 Share #3 Posted September 2, 2013 Uh, while it's lovely that they're fixing these issues in time, assuming the problems weren't caused by misuse, I'd expect a hell of a lot better quality from those lenses outright, especially considering the prices. Daniel Leung Posted September 6, 2013 Share #5 Posted September 6, 2013 Don't forget that mostly only people who have issues post in forums. The 99.99% for whom everything works well do not. very true comment of yours. now I should post my story. I was in the Leica event back in..May/June in North Jersey where Dr. Kaufman also attended. I have the first batch of M240...so the strap eyelet has some issues. as I was talking to the President of Leica USA together with the dealer where i bought the camera from, he told me to send the camera back to them and they will fix the eyelet for me but it may take up to a month. I told him a month without the camera is difficult....so, he offers to replace a new one for me as a long time Leica supporter. I was stunned by his offer. I got the new M in 3 weeks while I was using the other M... can beat this Cheers, DL
