Installing screen protectors that have an adhesive ring around their periphery can be tricky. You usually only have one go at aligning the protector with the camera screen before the adhesive sticks. It's difficult to align and keep the screens fingerprint and dust free during installation.

I've found a way to make the task easy.

Although the M 240 has a Gorilla glass screen it looks as if the screen has an antireflective/oil-liquid repellent coating of unknown durability. For that reason I decided to protect the M 240 with an ACMAXX polycarbonate hard LCD protector. The ACMAXX protectors are shipped with two removeable protective foil coverings. A semi rigid one covering the side with the adhesive and a soft plastic sheet with a paper pull off tab on the viewing side.

To make the protector assembly easy to handle all you do is to attach a strip of adhesive tape to the side with the soft plastic sheet. The tape needs to be one or two inches longer than the screen width so you can fold the tape over on itself to make two non sticky handles. See left hand image. Make sure the camera screen is clean and dust free. I used an isopropyl alcohol wipe and bulb blower. Pick up the protector using one of the handles and pull off the semi rigid foil exposing the adhesive. Use the free hand to hold the other handle and keeping the tape under tension position the protector and lower it onto camera screen. As long as you don't press down on the protector you can pull it off and reposition if needed.

When you are satisfied press around the edges of the protector to strengthen the bond. All that remains is to pull the paper tab and tape to remove the soft plastic sheet. In fact, if you don't press on the adhesive too hard it's possible to make minute adjustments to the protector position by pushing on it's sides before the final press down.
