Jeff S Posted August 24, 2013 Share #3 Â Posted August 24, 2013 Might want to check prices if that's a consideration, as I think I read that M costs there are higher than various other locations. Â Jeff

DigitalHeMan Posted August 24, 2013 Share #6  Posted August 24, 2013 Check out Bellamy's guide to camera shopping in Tokyo. His multi part article mentions many camera shops in each of the districts in Tokyo. The focus of the article is on buying second hand, so many of the stores won't hold new gear, but some of them do, and if you can't find an M you can console yourself with one of the many fine second hand specimens these shops carry  http://www.japancamerahunter.com/about/  As you mention, Map cameras in Shinjuku is a good place to start, and there are a couple of other specialist camera stores in the neighborhood (for example Yodabashi) that also carry Leica. You could also try the Leica boutique in Ginza, and whilst you are in there neighborhood check out Lemon camera, my favorite second hand store in Tokyo.
