Advertisement Posted October 3, 2013 Posted October 3, 2013 Hi sblitz, Take a look here Anything new from Kodak as new company?. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
KM-25 Posted October 21, 2013 Share #22 Posted October 21, 2013 It's 2013 and we still have what I consider to be more films to choose from than I could master in a lifetime. And that is the key thought here, be like a master photographer and use just a handful of films to great effect, create strong styles with one or two films that stand the greatest chance of sticking around. I don't want anyone to have Kodak E6, Kodachrome or Plus X again, because it is not financially viable or responsible for them to risk the other products in the current line up just to please a handful of people. They discontinued these products for a reason folks....your massive annual spending on 10-20 rolls a year did not cut it, period. You used the products but your friends did not, blame your friends, not Kodak, Fuji or Ilford. The writing is on the wall for every film maker, including Ilford in that once a product consistently underperforms, it is game over for that product, otherwise the entire product portfolio is at risk. Why people can not see this is totally baffling to me. Might be time to stop slathering the Internet with crying over what you have lost, potential newcomers to film will likely read that and think that what is left to use is not worth trying and that would be a real shame... Kodak is not bringing back what they have discontinued, end of story, feel free to read this 10 times in a row to get it through your heads: F.N.D | Film’s not Dead in Conversation with Kodak Alaris
