bac Posted August 13, 2013 Share #1 Posted August 13, 2013 Advertisement (gone after registration) Hi, Last September I sent my M9 to Leica USA for CLA and cleaning and they replaced the sensor. This week I took some shots stopped down and noticed some dark spots but also some circular white spots. Just to be sure I took test shots with two different lenses and saw the spots in the same location so it is definitely on the sensor. Are the white spots in this photo likely to be shutter grease? My attempts to clean it with Eclipse (two passes) and proper swabs did nothing. Thanks, bac

StephenPatterson Posted August 13, 2013 Share #2 Posted August 13, 2013 I've always been a fan of Visible Dust products, and Smear Away is formulated for oil and shutter lubricant removal. Smear Away. Liquid cleaner for sensor.
